Q.  Is there a minimum age requirement to become an independent consultant for Ambit Energy?

A.  Consultants must be 18 years of age. 

Q. How much time is required to do the business?

A. This is up to you as this is your own business,  you will get out of it what you put into it.

Q. What or how is the best way to get started?

A. Becoming familiar with your website and all of the tools that are ready and waiting to help you get started. Ambit and the TLC Team have a system to help you grow. USE THE SYSTEM. 

Q.  Can I do this from home?

A.  Yes.

Q.  Do I have to have the Internet?

A.  No.  However, without it you may limit your success.  The Internet is today's delivery system of information, communications, and marketing.  Where possible, it is to your advantage to have hi-speed Internet vs. dial up, but not necessary.

Q.  Does the company provide training for new consultants?

A.  Yes...everyone who chooses to have their personal website has access to Ambit University, an online educational system to learn how to get started.  TLC Energy also provides training.

Q.  What is Powerzone?

A.  Powerzone is the complete information center that will link you to everything important to your success.  This is your personal office and your most valuable partner in this business.  Becoming familiar with it will keep you informed regarding Ambit.

Q.  How do I access Powerzone?

A.  Go to your website and click on the "Powerzone" tab.  You will be prompted to enter your consultant ID number and password.

Q.  Other than my website, are there any monthly charges or purchase requirements?

A.  No.

Q.  What will Ambit provide once I enroll?

A.  In a few days you will receive a professional kit with tools to help you get started.

Q.  Does Ambit have marketing tools to promote the business?

A.  Yes.  You will have access to sales aids to market and promote your business through your website.

Q.  What is the best way to advertise?

A.  There are many ways to advertise your business.  Ambit provices access for you to choose the method you feel works best for you.  Be sure to read and understand Ambit Energy policies and procedures in regards to advertising to ensure your advertising strategy is in compliance with Ambit Energy guidelines.

Q.  As an independent consultant, should I invest in business cards?

A.  Yes, business cards are an excellent way to promote growth and exposure for your business.  The more business cards you circulate, the faster your business will grow.

Q.  How can I save money on my energy bill if Ambit is not yet providing service in my area?'

A.  If Ambit is not currently a service provider in your area, you won't be able to save money on your electric bill.  Howver, you will be able to help countless others save money while you grow your business and make money.

Q.  When will Ambit Energy become a provider in my area?

A.  When your area is deregulated in accordance with state regulations, Ambit will consider your area's market potential and profitiablity.

Q.  Are there new areas deregulating soon?

A.  Numerous states are in the process of deregulation at this time.  Ambit will expand into these areas when all criteria meet Ambit's expectations.

Q.  Why is it important for me to attend Ambit Energy meetings?

A.  There are many reasons to attend meetings including taking new prospects to view the opportunity, meeting other consultants and sharing ideas, and learning more about the business and opportunity.  You can access meeting times, dates, and locations through your Powerzone and by e-mail communication with your upline.

Q.  How do I share information with potential consultants and customers?

A.  Ambit provides many tools to help you grow your business.  Some examples are a system of contacting potential customers and consultants, providing a personalized website for potential consultants and customers to visit, inviting prospects to join a conference call, viewing online video through your website, and a dvd movie presentation.

Q.  Will anyone be available to help me get started?

A.  Absolutely!  Your sponsor and their upline are happy to educate you about your new business and provide the support you need to grow your business.

Q.  Why is it important to attend training sessions and conventions?

A.   This is your business and attending training sessions and conventions are a great way to invest in your future and help grow your business.

Q.  What is the best way to experience success in this business?

A.  Follow the proven system that Ambit Energy and TLC Energy has provided.  Plug into your team and duplicate the process.

Q.  Can I recruite commercial accounts for my customer base?

A.  No.  Ambit provides residential, not commercial service.  However, commercial business owners may be interested in becoming independent consultants.

Q.  Are non-profit organizations allowed to become involved in this business opportunity?

A.   Yes.   Ambit has an Affiliate Program for such entities.  You will find more information regarding non-profit organizations in your Powerzone.

Q.  If I have a customer that is saving money on both electricity and natural gas, will this count as one or two customer points?

A.  This will count as two customer points.

Q.  Does Ambit offer a customer referral program?

A.  No.  However, as an indpendent consultant, you may choose to design and offer a referral program to help grow your business.

Q.  Why is it important to ensure I have provided the company and my up-line with an accurate e-mail address?

 A.  The company and your up-line will be contacting you with exciting and important information to help you grow your business.  It is to your benefit to check your e-mail daily.

Q.  How often will I receive commission and residual checks from Ambit?

A.  Consultant commission checks are paid weekly and customer residual checks are paid monthly.

Q.  How will commission and residual checks affect my taxes?

A.  As you are an independent consultant rather than an Ambit employee, Ambit will not withhold taxes from your commission and residual checks.  You will receive a 1099 form from Ambit Energy and it is your responsibility to provide your accountant with this information when filing your taxes each year.   You accountant will also be able to advise you regarding allowable deductions for your expenses as a business owner.
