Are you an incumbent gas or elect customer? (use what ever market you are working)
Yes I am.
The reason I'm contacting you is our company has two programs for all
incumbent customers (apply to your market) and I wanted to make sure you were aware of them. Program #1 offers customer savings, free travel and complementary gifts.Program #2 offers free travel, complementary gifts, and our company will pay your energy bill if you qualify. Which program would you be interested in? (Always ask that question then wait for an answer) If they are interested in program #1, then enroll them as a customer then and there. (Be ready)  Most people will be interested in program #2, but they will have questions like: how can they do that? Sounds to good to be true, what’s the catch? Expect these questions and be ready to answer them.Ask,” If you have a few minutes I’ll explain how our programs can work for you”.


Program #1. 
Ambit Energy is partnered with Shell Energy and purchase their energy at a wholesale price, the lower cost is then delivered by incumbent providers to your home the same way it always has so nothing changes, the only difference is you pay less, get travel benefits and a free gift for trying Shell. You will still get the same service you always had. So are you ready to get your gift? (Ask the question)


Program #2.
Most energy companies in our industry spend millions on advertising to acquire customers. It’s not very productive and it drives their cost up. Those costs will be passed on to their customers. Ambit uses a very unique marketing strategy. Ambit pays there advertising budget to people like you and I for acquiring customers and all customers get the same great deal. So it’s a win win for everybody. All you have to do is find 15 paying customers and Ambit will average their bill and apply that amount to your energy bill. (Month after month)There are two qualifications:1. Become an Ambit customer 2. Find 15 new customers in the first 120 days. All your customers will get the same benefits as you, so it’s like a no brainer. (try and get into the house, then they can sit down and be more comfortable)
How does this work exactly? 
(if there is a very long pause and they haven't asked you how it works then explain it)
Ambit gets their gas from Shell at a wholesale price, that lower costing gas is then delivered by Nicor to your home the same way it always has, so nothing changes there, the only difference is you pay less.  You will still get a Nicor bill like you always have.

They are also giving away a gift voucher worth $200 just for trying it out, and if you don't like it you can always change back for free and keep the gift.  There are no contracts and it's free to try it out.  ( I try to not use the word "switch")

Let me ask you something...Has Nicor ever gave you a free vacation for being such a loyal customer for all these years?
Well No
Ambit gives you travel rewards points for every therm of gas you use that you can turn in for vacation packages, like 5 day 4 night cruises, airfare, and other vacation spots.  And it's all free all you do is use your gas like you normally do.
Well I don't ever go on vacations or travel.
That's fine.  But maybe some time in a couple of years you may want to, and you will have enough points by then to turn in for a free vacation. Or you can give it away to somebody else that would use it.

At this point if it's still a maybe, leave them with a flyer and your card.  Ask for their phone number and a good time to call them back to talk some more.

Get name and phone # if possible. When they sign up make sure you give them the terms of service and tell them about the 1% discount and call 3rd party verification after they are put into the computer  and make sure you let them know all they are going to ask them. If you don't they will answer the questions wrong some times because they don't understand them.

    After you have verified the customer, ask them who do you know that would like to save money, especially now during these times.  Every one can use a break.  The reason I ask you this, is be case if you refer 5 people, you can choose from one of 15 different vacation packages like a 5 day 4 night cruise, trip to the Bahamas ext. If you don't want one of the vacation packages, you can give it away to someone or you can choose a certificate for $300 in gasoline or groceries.  And if you get really ambitious, and refer 15, you can get free Energy!!  The way that works is, they take the average of those 15 and when they pay their bill, they take that average and deduct it from your bill each and every month! (New York, they will send you a check). 

    Hand them a paper and pen, and pause.  If you just ask them, you will get little results, but if you put a paper and a pen in their hand, you will get two out of three people who will write referral names down.  You may even recommend them looking at their address book or cell phone if they are having trouble coming up with any. 

    After they made their list, the very best way to contact them is on a 3 way call with you on the phone.  Ask the customer to introduce you, and tell them to tell their friend that we helped you out and we want to help you out.  Or tell the customer to call them and tell them I'm going to be calling them.  If they don't want to do either of these, you can tell your customer doing it one of these two ways does work extremely better, but I can call them on my own or go to their house and explain how it works to them. 
   

    If you are calling them or visiting their house, first thing I do is introduce myself.  Hello, I'm ______ from Ambit Energy.  You where referred to us by Mary Joe.  And the reason why she referred you is (Then explain what we do and how we can save them money.)  If you have explained how it works, answered all their questions, and they still aren’t for sure, give them the customer’s web site www.a123456.joinambit.com.  Remind them that Mary Joe will really appreciate this, and we know that they will be happy with the savings they will receive.  Make sure you contact them back within 48 hours!  It will increase your results even more!
   

    Doing it this way makes it always so that you are working on a "warm" market.  People that know people will listen to you ten times better then a "cold" market customer.  One customer can lead to hundreds by doing this system.  Just think about it.  If every customer just referred 5 and they referred 5 and they referred 5.......think of all the numbers!!  Several team members have already done this, it flat out works.

How to find customers when you’re in an area were ambit is not doing business. 

 

It is important to understand how to gather customers no matter where you live.  Some of the most successful consultants live in areas were ambit does not do business.  All customer gathering principles stay the same, you just learn how to network your way back into an area where we are acquiring customers.  You can and will become very successful at finding customers by following this simple method of operation.

 

1.       Make a list of everyone you know, no matter where they live.  You should come up with at least 100 names before you start this procedure.  It’s not that difficult everyone is a potential prospect.

2.       Put all your prospects into three different categories,

A, prospects that live close to where you live.

B, prospects who live in different parts of the country.

C, prospects that live in areas were ambit is doing business.

3.        Identify 10 prospects that you feel or your hottest prospects with the most potential and influence.  With this list we’re going to start building are ambit business and having fun.

Start contacting these people, and remember we are not selling or convincing anyone, we are looking for people who are looking for us.  By following and practicing the sample script below, you will see how you can network your way back into areas were ambit is already doing business.  Remember you have a support system ,and you should never work alone.  Have your upline SC or above help you in getting started.

 The  script 

Contact your prospect by phone or in person it doesn’t matter and ask them,

Do you know anybody who lives in (any area were ambit is doing business now)?  If they say yes ask them, if the money was right, and we call them up and asked them to help us, would they help us?  You will get responses like, it depends on what it is, what’s going on, ect.  The point is you’ll always get positive responses.  Your answer to this will be, well I may be onto something. So far it looks pretty good.  It’s an energy company out of Texas that I came across and appears to have huge income potential.  I’m still checking things out right now.  If this thing turns out to be as good as it appears to be, do you want me to get back in touch with you?  They will almost always say yes.  Keep notes on where they know people, and tell them you’ll get back with them as soon as you get more information.  Tell them no more , and leave them waiting to hear from you, very important to do this.  Always remember, less is more, and more is less. 

If they answered no to that first question, still use the same procedure, nothing changes.  At this point we’re just building a good database, and warm prospect market.  After you have done this you are ready to contact your SC are above and start your ambit business.  Remember to keep adding to your prospect list.  Your list is the most important part of this business.

 Getting back with your prospects 

When you get back with your top 10 prospects be excited and in a hurry.

Hey john , this is a Jane.  Remember that energy deal I was telling you about?  Well I’ve had time to check it out and, it looks even better than what I thought it was.  I believe this may be just what we’ve been looking for.  I’ve decided to get started, it makes too much sense to not do this.  I promised you I would get back with more info and, remember those people that you knew who lived in (Ambit area)? They could benefit big because of what you and I are doing.  How do you want to get the details? I have several options for you . (Use the tools that are available to you for exposing the opportunity.  Let the system do the work.) Tell john that you are in a hurry, and it’s important for him to check out this thing right now.  Tell john you’ll have your supervisor available next time we talked to answer questions he may have so you don’t screw it up.  They can also help us get in touch with your (people in ambit area) so all of us can start making some extra income.

 Follow up with SC or above  

When you contact john back with SC or above helping you, the procedure is no different no matter where you live, you’ll answer questions and find out  john’s interest level .  If john is ready, sign him up.  Even if john is not real  interested, it doesn’t matter.  Because we will remind john about those people that he know in ( Ambit area) john remember those people you knew in (ambit area)?  Let’s call them up and see if they want to save money on an energy bill and get $200 gift from you just  for trying ambit.  You said you thought they would help us if the money was right, we might even be able to eliminate their energy bill.  And they may want to make money like you and I.  Let’s give them a call now why we have this SC helping us. 

 

The whole concept of this process is to network your way back into an area where ambit is doing business right now.  You will find that you know somebody who knows somebody that is in an area to find customers.  It may be someone who simply wants to go out and find customers for you and you can help them through a referral program.  And remember it’s not about what you do, it’s about what you start.  The bigger footprint you get now, the bigger business you will have in the future.  Ambit will be expanding into new markets for the next several years.  By learning how to network your way back into these markets and build data base for future markets you will be a head of the game.  Always use the proven system and your support team and, go out and have fun, and get lucky.
